A couple of other Oscar Bluemner paintings where the tree takes on the form of the figure-"Death" and "Violet Tones."
Cezanne's "Millstone and Cistern Under Trees" and Max Weber's "The Forest" show some similarities between the two artists.
Max Weber's "Summer" shows another interpretation of the figure in the landscape.
